Little Pink Responds to the Covid 19 Outbreak
As a national non-profit, Little Pink has positioned itself to meet the needs of breast cancer patients across the United States and Canada. Over the past 9 years, Little Pink has partnered with local communities to create a signature retreat support model that provides an amazing atmosphere of love embracing the most vulnerable families.
Today, we are facing an unprecedented challenge: the spread of the COVID 19 virus and its impact on already vulnerable cancer communities. We have seen first hand how this is affecting our non-profit in the form of canceled retreats to maintain the health and welfare of our cancer participants; canceled fundraisers; a decline in donations and pledges; and the increased pressure placed on individuals who are unsure about what the future holds.
Our board and staff are working hard to reassign displaced retreat families in other retreat locations later in the year and to make sure that all families are able to benefit from the services that we offer. The impact of our programming has been felt throughout the years by families whose lives have been changed dramatically by attending a retreat week experience. We have lessened the feeling of isolation, created a community of unbridled support, and have given the gift of hope where it sometimes no longer existed. We will continue to do this important work.
We encourage you during this difficult time to consider making a gift to help a family in need. You are vital to our future success.
Thank you for your support.
