Retreat Coordinator

Cheryl Wilson

Cheryl moved to Southport, NC when her husband retired in 2016 and now she has joined him in retirement! She began her journey with Little Pink OKI through donations and then became a co-leader in 2022, where she discovered the impact of the retreat experience for warriors, survivors and support members who attend. She is excited to share her passion of helping others through Little Pink as a new retreat leader in 2025. She looks forward to continuing the work of those before her in supporting all who find connection, renewed strength and friendships through the sand and waves on Oak Island, NC.

Retreat Director

Adam Banno

Adam is from Rhode Island and has been volunteering with Little Pink for years! He is truly blessed by his family.  On Adam's first retreat, his retreat director told him he had a special 'spark' and could see him being more involved with Little Pink. Adam is a wonderful director and you will feel comforted and supported by his leadership.

When you envision a classic family beach vacation, you’re most likely picturing Oak Island, whether you know it yet or not. That nostalgic feeling you get when you think of a family outing on bicycles complete with bells and baskets, an ice cream parlor after a round of mini-golf, or fishing on the pier is what family memories at Oak Island are made of. It’s no wonder this timeless place has been attracting visitors since the early 19th century. And after all this time, the familiar, uncrowded beaches still greet anyone who visits this quiet community.  Little Pink is proud to have the support of the Oak Island community that makes this a very successful retreat location.

The financial environment of not having to pay for anything was a huge stress relief, and that is priceless.

I want to support the retreat with an in kind donation

  • Grocery Gift Cards
  • Gifts for families
  • Special location-specific items for welcome bags
  • Paper Goods- plates, napkins, plastic cutlery, paper towels, toilet paper
  • Sponsor a family for the week ($1008) by making a general donation
  • Sponsor an activity or meal ($250) by making a general donation
I would like to donate my property for the retreat week

Retreats are only possible because of generous house donors.  Please fill out the Home Donor form

I am interested in getting my business, school, church, or civic group involved

The community is the key ingredient to the success of every Little Pink Retreat week!  Ways for your group to get involved:

  • Adopt a retreat. This is an easy way for a small group to make a BIG impact!  Adopt a Retreat Information
  • Provide a meal for the families and if possible have your group serve the meal!  This is a great way to get to know the families and see the difference that you are making first hand.
  • Conduct a gift card drive for local grocery store
  • Collect paper Goods- plates, napkins, plastic cutlery, paper towels, toilet paper
  • Provide welcome bags for each family
  • Conduct an office fundraiser
I am interested in conducting a fundraiser to support the retreat

What a great idea!  Please fill out our Fundraising event form

Feel free to call Little Pink’s Development Director, LeKeshia Franklin, at 336-213-4733 or email lekeshia@littlepink.org for further assistance with any of your fundraising ideas or questions.
