Leaning on each other

Retreats

I truly believe that every person on the planet should experience a final day with Little Pink because it is filled with unflappable joy, beautiful reflections, and transformational stories that, as one of our LPHOH dads said, is the example of Christ centered community.  And today was no different.

The early morning came with families getting their professional portraits taken on the beach.  And the day ended with each family sharing the best part of their week.  We did alot this week- the beach, a boat tour to Shell Island, the Skywheel, and tons more…. but it wasn’t the “what” we did this week that anyone even mentioned when asked the question, “what was the best part of their week?”  Nope.  It is not the things that stood out.  It is the feelings of love and support that dominated the conversation.  Feelings of “being normal” again for the first time.  Feelings of finally being able to have days with family that we don’t see because we are working hard to pay the bills.  Feelings of empowerment and the realization that living is the answer.  Feelings that we have been loved and cared for with nothing asked in return.

And with that, it will be a good night’s rest.  Because we can truly rest in knowing that we all have the ability to lean on each other and keep our family at the center of this new journey.
