Throughout the journey of Little Pink, it has involved stepping out of my comfort zone and asking for things- money, houses, meals, printing, – you name it and we have asked for it! This month has truly been March MADNESS for Little Pink Houses of Hope! We asked for some big things to help grow our organization and people said YES!
We are soooo excited to announce that we have secured our office/ community space! It is a great space donated by BOV (Burlington Outlet Village). We are located right next to the Paper Factory in the old outlet complex. We have alot of work to do over the next few weeks to get everything up and running: cleaning, painting, decorating, moving, organizing… and oh yeah, getting ready for our first retreat in Kure Beach! We would love your help! We will need volunteers to come out and help! We will get the keys this week and will make a special announcement of times and dates for volunteering aka the “Little Pink House Party”.
We have also had two wonderful companies donate furniture for our space. Castleworldwide, which is located in RTP, is generously donating office desks, chairs, bookshelves, etc so that we can have a place to get our work done!
The Hilton Hotel at Duke University is donating chairs, couches, and end tables so that we can create a great community area.
I am so excited for Little Pink to have a home! We are excited to be moving forward so that we can expand next year to provide retreats for more families than ever!
I am still amazed at how many people say YES when they are asked! Thanks from the bottom of my Little Pink heart!
