In January 2023 I was diagnosed with stage 2B triple negative breast cancer. I spent 16 months fighting this deadly, aggressive cancer with multiple doses of chemo, immunotherapy, surgery, and radiation. My mom was my caregiver and we felt like we lived at the doctor, that our life revolved around my cancer diagnosis. This retreat through Little Pink Houses of Hope gave us a chance to enjoy a week at the beach to relax, feel loved, and spend quality time together instead of spending it at a doctor’s appointment. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the beautiful sound of the ocean. This retreat was near the end of my 16 month cancer journey and is a great memory to have to finish out my cancer journey!
