The laughter, the tears, the hugs, the moments, and the memories that we created together reminded me that even battles such as this can have those profound moments of joy.

Jennifer Stone
2025 Participant/Breast Cancer Survivor
Ocean City, MD

My Little Pink retreat helped me to process my very new breast cancer diagnosis. Up until the retreat I felt very alone, trying to wrap my head around this huge thing in my life. It was so hard to explain all the thoughts going through my mind, the changes in my body and with my health, and my emotions. That wasn’t the case at my retreat. I didn’t have to try so hard because the other participants (and some of the VolunStars) just knew, because they had been through it or are currently going through it themselves. They get it and that was such a comfort. The laughter, the tears, the hugs, the moments, and the memories that we created together reminded me that even battles such as this can have those profound moments of joy, life, and gratitude that help me fight this fight and keep going.
