WFMY News 2 – Every breast cancer survivor has hope!

News

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Every breast cancer survivor has hope!  Hope for a cure and hope for the future.
Thankfully, there’s a Triad nonprofit that’s making sure each survivor also has a chance to get away and have fun.
Jeanine Patten-Coble is not only a breast cancer survivor, she’s the founder of Little Pink Houses of Hope.  The nonprofit provides free week-long vacations for families affected by breast cancer.  Since 2011, Little Pink Houses of Hope has helped almost 600 families, giving them a chance to escape, heal and have fun together.
Patten Coble’s team holds 16 retreats annually for eleven families across the country.  From the moment they arrive, all expenses are covered including a luxury vacation home, and activities like paddle boarding, boat rides or visits to the water park.
This kindness is just one of the reasons Patten-Coble was awarded for the 2017 CNN Heroes Award.  Little Pink Houses of Hope made it to the top 25.  And now the nonprofit needs your website views and your votes to get into the top 10, which comes with a big prize to help the organization.
Each of the top 10 receives $10,000.  The Hero of the Year receives an additional $100,000.
You can check out the Little Pink Houses of Hope website to donate.  Email and share Jeanine’s CNN Heroes Page to gain more views and votes by clicking here.  Good luck, Jeanine!
