Amazing things are happening

Retreats

We started Day 2 of our retreat with the Amazing Race – Hatteras Island Edition!  Lighthouse Assembly of God Church was so generous to open the doors of their Family Life center for Little Pink Houses of Hope to have our activities!
Families ran through the rain and ‘poured’ into the family life center to have some silly fun playing games!

All the families had a great afternoon exploring the island and then gathered back at the Hatteras Realty Office for a delicious dinner donated by Crazy Johnny’s Bar-B-Que. Johnny and his father have been supporters of Little Pink for many years!  They have big smiles and huge hearts; we are grateful for their continued support.

Homemade banana pudding topped off the big dinner and one cup even had a candle in it.  I think Paul was surprised and touched by our off tune singing of ‘Happy Birthday’.

After dinner,  Jenn Johnson from the Blue Pelican came and helped everyone create memory bottles, jewelry and drawings.

The best part of today was to watch the new friendships form and families enjoy each other!
