Dinner with the Fish

Retreats

0 (17) 0 (18) 0 (19) There is so much to do at the beach. Swimming in the water, playing in the sand, throwing the football around. With all of these options there is one thing everyone is sure to do. Even if it’s just sitting in a beach chair with their loved ones to just relax. At some point in the day all of the moms were able to do this. The sun broke through the clouds as the families arrived at the beach. Some made for the warm North Carolina water while others sat back and enjoyed the view. After everyone got settled in it was time to play a game, Silly String dodge ball. Pandemonium soon followed. Once the game was done the aftermath of the silly string fight remained on the beach in an array of neon colors. Lunch was generously served at Colleen’s house by the New Generations Church.
Then it was off to the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher by way of a ferry ride. The kids threw bread off the back of the boat as birds swarmed the stern. Once we got to the aquarium it was time to conquer many fears as we were given the opportunity too touch stingrays, crabs, and even sharks! A delicious dinner was prepared by Kate from Kate’s Pancake House.
