Most every visitor who comes to Hatteras Island will make a stop in Buxton, either for the exceptional fishing off of Cape Point, the amazing kiteboarding or windsurfing or for the incredible views from the top of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.  Buxton is a quiet small town, and a mixture of rental communities, charming and decades-old stores that are very welcoming to visitors.  The drive onto the island will leave you breathless as your cares disappear as the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound stretch as far as the eye can see on both sides.  The huge sand dunes will remind you of remote beaches that have gone untouched.  This couples retreat is conducted in one large house with each couple having their own private master suite and shared common space in a luxury home called Croatan Ridge which sits on the Croatan Sound.
